What a good Mercari listing needs
- A short, specific title. Put brand and item type first, then size, color and model. Mercari limits title length (check current limit); ByeByeFast keeps Mercari titles to 80 characters or fewer.
- Brand, category and condition fields filled in. Mercari's help center notes that many shoppers search by brand, and the category and condition fields help your item show up in search.
- A description that leads with condition and flaws, then size or measurements, then what is included. Mercari also limits description length (check current limit), so cut anything a buyer does not need.
- Honest condition wording that matches the condition you select, such as new, like new, good or fair, with specific notes on wear.
- Shipping that fits the item. Note the size and weight so you can choose a sensible shipping option, and say how quickly you ship.
- Only relevant brand names and keywords. Mercari asks sellers not to add brands or hashtags that are not related to the item.

Tips for a Mercari listing
- Lead the title with brand and item type. Many buyers see only the start of a title in the feed.
- State that you tested the item and what you tested. It answers the most common buyer question.
- Put flaws in the first lines of the description, not at the end.
- List exactly what is included and what is not, such as the box or charger.
- Use the suggested keywords only where they describe your item.
- Weigh and measure the packed item before you pick a shipping option.
FAQ
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account and nothing to sign up for. You can create up to 5 AI drafts per day. If the daily limit is reached, or the AI call fails, you still get a template built from the details you typed, and the page tells you the draft is a template so you know the photos were not analyzed.
Is my photo stored?
We checked our code for this. Your photos stay in your browser while you sort them. When you ask for an AI draft, your browser shrinks up to 4 photos into small JPEG copies and sends them, with the details you typed, to Cloudflare Workers AI to write the draft. ByeByeFast does not save those photos: the request is not written to a database or file storage, and our logs record counts and outcomes, not photos or text. Template drafts are built in your browser and are not sent anywhere.
Is there a Mercari description template I can reuse?
Yes. Each draft follows the same order: title, condition and flaws, what is included, and shipping. You can use the example on this page as a template, or upload photos and let ByeByeFast fill it in.
What do I need to type?
Add photos of the item, then type a short name, the condition, any flaws, and your asking price. Those facts keep the draft accurate. The AI reads the photos for details like color, materials and visible wear, and you edit the result before you post.
