ByeByeFast

Facebook Marketplace description generator

On Facebook Marketplace, buyers message before they commit, so a good description answers their questions up front. ByeByeFast turns your photos and a few facts into a title, description and condition notes written for local buyers. It is free and needs no account.

What a good Facebook Marketplace listing needs

  • A plain title that says what the item is. Put brand, item type and size first, because the end of a long title may be cut off in the feed. Facebook limits title length (check current limit); ByeByeFast keeps Facebook titles to 100 characters or fewer.
  • The most important details in the first lines of the description: condition, dimensions and what is included.
  • Measurements for furniture and large items, so buyers know it fits before they drive over.
  • Pickup and delivery terms: general area, whether you can help load, whether the item comes apart, and whether shipping is available.
  • Honest condition wording with specific flaws. Local buyers will see the item in person, so vague claims lead to haggling or no-shows.
  • Common search words in natural sentences, such as the item type and material, rather than a list of keywords.

Title (53 chars)

IKEA Hemnes 8-Drawer Dresser, White Stain, Solid Wood

IKEA Hemnes 8-drawer dresser in white stain. About 63 in wide, 19 in deep and 38 in high. Condition: Good, used for 3 years. All drawers open and close smoothly. A few light scratches on the top and a small chip on the bottom left corner (see photo 4). No smoke in the home. Pickup only. It is heavy and does not come apart easily, so please bring a second person and a vehicle that fits it. I can help carry it to the curb.

Tips for a Facebook Marketplace listing

  1. Give measurements in the first lines. It cuts down on 'will it fit' messages.
  2. Say up front whether it is pickup only or if you can ship or deliver.
  3. Mention what you want buyers to know before they come, such as stairs or a heavy lift.
  4. Show the flaw in a photo and name it in the text.
  5. Write the title as a buyer would search for it: item type first, then brand and size.
  6. Keep your exact address out of the listing. Share pickup details in messages.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account and nothing to sign up for. You can create up to 5 AI drafts per day. If the daily limit is reached, or the AI call fails, you still get a template built from the details you typed, and the page tells you the draft is a template so you know the photos were not analyzed.

Is my photo stored?

We checked our code for this. Your photos stay in your browser while you sort them. When you ask for an AI draft, your browser shrinks up to 4 photos into small JPEG copies and sends them, with the details you typed, to Cloudflare Workers AI to write the draft. ByeByeFast does not save those photos: the request is not written to a database or file storage, and our logs record counts and outcomes, not photos or text. Template drafts are built in your browser and are not sent anywhere.

Is there a Facebook Marketplace description template?

Use this order: what it is, condition and flaws, measurements, what is included, then pickup or shipping. ByeByeFast follows that order when it drafts your listing.

How long can a Facebook Marketplace description be?

Facebook does not publish a simple limit for personal listings that we could confirm, so check current limit in the listing form. In practice, a short description with the key facts first works better than a long one.

Does it post to Facebook for me?

No. You copy the title and description into Marketplace and post the listing yourself.
